The milkweed is blooming and the bees love it!

This week we’re putting up fencing in hopes that it will deter the deer from the gardens. We’re adding leaf mulch to the front flower beds and topping it with a black bark so that we’re more likely to see any unwanted visitors.

We put up another hummingbird feeder (trying to stop the squabbling!) and we’re keeping an eye on the Phoebe’s nest for the babies.

Later this week we’ll be working on the wildflower meadow and paths.
